Description

This is the guitar transcription of one of the first songs that Chet Atkins recorded. The original record is form his first LP named “Gallopin’ Guitar” too and released in 1952. The version I transcribed was recorded in 1983 in a TV show with the great guitarist and violinist Mark O’Connor.

There is two style of soloing, Chet as always plays nice lines with some awesome effects and Mark has more a kind of jazzy bluegrass style with the flatpick.

I think Chet composed this song under the influence of Django Reinhardt, the structure of the song remind me song like Swing 42 or Daphné for example. So it’s possible to play this song in Gypsy Jazz style too !

Enjoy !
