In this interpretation of “On the Sunny Side of the Street,” Jonathan Stout delivers a clean and tasteful reading of the tune. The theme is presented in chord voicings, simply stated yet elegantly arranged. He follows with two A sections of chord-voicing soloing, in a style reminiscent of Allan Reuss, combining harmonic movement and effortless swing. Stout then returns to the B section of the head to close the arrangement with clarity and coherence.

As a bonus, the PDFs include a Charlie Christian–style solo on a version in E♭, adding a classic electric-jazz flavor to the set.
