Description
La Partida (Quiero Ser Tu Sombra) is a famous Venezuelan waltz often played in the gypsy jazz repertoire. This transcription is based on the version performed by Samy Daussat on his 2013 album Place des Vosges with his band Minor Swing Quartet.
The melody is presented very clearly, making it a great tune for discovering the style. Relatively easy to play for gypsy jazz beginners, this version also includes interesting improvisation ideas over the A section, perfect for developing your first solos.
